ISOC Musalla

- UNSW | Sydney -
The Home Of your spiritual needs
The prayer room, otherwise known as the Musallah, was originally situated amongst the “huts” where the Quadrangle building currently is. It then moved temporarily to the Physics lawn in a demountable building before finally settling permanently in November 1993 on the third floor of the Squarehouse. The prayer room facilities can comfortably accommodate over 40 students at one time. The Musallah includes two segregated sections, one for Sisters and another for Brothers. Both of these sections become filled with many students gathering for congregational prayers throughout the day. It serves an important role for many students most of whom use the room not only for their prayers but also as a place to relax, get away from the busy campus walkways, catch up and meet with fellow Muslims or even just as a quiet place to get some studies done.

ISOC Musalla Location

We hold five times daily prayers at the Musalla. There is no Jum'a prayer at the Musallah due to space limitations. Visit our Friday Prayer page for information about Jum'a Prayer.
