Subcommittees

Each subcommittee supports a different part of community life, from events and education to media, sport, and sisters’ initiatives.

Media Committee

Support ISOC’s communications through posters, photography, video, social media, and event coverage that keeps the community informed and connected.

Sports Committee

Help organise sports and wellbeing activities that encourage consistency, discipline, and stronger bonds across the community.

Events & Socials

Assist with BBQs, Eid gatherings, welcome events, and other community programs that help students feel at home on campus.

Education Committee

Help organize halaqas, workshops, and guest speaker events to enrich the spiritual knowledge of the campus community.

Sisters Committee

Help create a welcoming sisters-led space through social, spiritual, and wellbeing initiatives designed for connection and care.

Legal Committee

Support the society with governance, policy, compliance, documentation, and organisational processes that help ISOC operate responsibly and effectively.

What commitment looks like

University can be demanding, so roles should feel realistic and manageable. Most volunteers contribute consistently in small but meaningful ways, with some opportunities also being event-based.
